About Mohler MMA
Professor Allen Mohler established his school more than 20 years ago. Originally, it was purely a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school. However, because of Professor Mohler’s varied experience in martial arts, the school quickly grew to offer much more, including boxing, Muay Thai kickboxing, wrestling and mixed martial arts.
Mohler Mixed Martial Arts has two locations, providing ease of access from wherever you live in the DFW Metroplex. Professor Mohler’s first school is centrally located in Grapevine, Texas near the DFW airport. His newest school is located near Downtown Dallas in the Deep Ellum arts district. Established in 2014, the Deep Ellum location is growing rapidly and there are already plans for expansion.
While Professor Allen Mohler personally teaches many of the classes, including adult and kids’ classes, Mohler Mixed Martial Arts has a number of other highly qualified instructors. These instructors are some of Professor Mohler’s top students which he has personally selected because of their martial arts skill, teaching ability and, in many cases, record of success in competition. His top students have competed in the most highly regarded tournaments, including the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Pan American Games, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World Championships, Ultimate Fighting Championships (“UFC”), Legacy Fighting Championships, Bellator Fighting Championships, NAGA National Championships and Golden Gloves Boxing Tournaments, as well as local competitions.
Professor Allen Mohler and his instructors are passionate about coaching, are experienced in the arts they teach and are committed to bringing out the best in their students. The result of their efforts and their students commitment to success is an excellent competition team at Mohler Mixed Martial Arts. Not only do our students find individual success at tournaments, but Mohler Mixed Martial Arts regularly takes home the team trophy.
Apart from group classes, Professor Mohler and the other instructors at Mohler Mixed Martial Arts are available for private lessons. Through these lessons, our instructors can focus on a student’s particular interests and needs. Whether your goal is to compete or just reach a higher level of fitness, our instructors will tailor your private lesson accordingly.
While success in martial arts requires dedication and consistency, training should be fun and rewarding. We practice positive encouragement and correction. We are here to build you up not tear you down.
Our goal is to create a family atmosphere. You will be surprised at the number of friends you will make at Mohler Mixed Martial Arts. Our students not only train together, but it is not uncommon for them to socialize away from the gym, often watching mixed martial arts fights at a student’s home or at a restaurant. Professor Allen Mohler can honestly say that many of his students are now life-long friends.
Please don’t shy away from at least trying a free class or two. Even if you feel you are not athletic or you have never participated in sports, you may find that the martial arts are for you. However, many of our students, including some of our black belts, did not participate in sports before joining Mohler Mixed Martial Arts. Regardless of your background or your goals, our school has something for you.
